Biodegradable / Compostable Symbol

We needed a symbol for biodegradable/compostable and the only ones we found online were a bit lame — overwrought and/or conceptually off-target — at least nowhere near as iconic as Gary Anderson's triangular reycling symbol. So, Perillel knocked out a graphic for us, a graphic that visually degrades gracefully, fittingly enough. It's also monochromatic and invertible, for flexibility. We figured other folks would also need a good symbol for the same purpose, world-serving as it is. Perillel agreed to release this one under Creative Commons license 0 (public domain), and we're posting it thereto. Go ahead and use it, tweak it, or decompose it at will!

The design is created in vector graphics format, linked at the bottom, so you can change color or size or lettering as needed. We've also posted some ready bitmaps, so punters can sort themselves easily.

It's worth noting the symbol isn't any more specifically defining than are the words "biodegradable" or "compostable". Standards and verification are necessarily left to the fine print, but at least this titles the line, graphically.

The disintegrating-leaf biodegradable/compostable symbol (including derived bitmaps shown), created by Perillel, is hereby marked with CC0 1.0
